Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.

Cropping images[edit]

By way of information for the future, when you want to crop an image I suggest you use the CropTool that can be activated in your commons Preferences, under Gadgets. The CropTool will then appears in the left side of your screen. It saves everyone a lot of time because it transfers all the correct and appropriate information into the cropped image, such as source, licence, author, etc. It even leaves a backlink to the original and visa versa. That way all the proper information is there and does not need to be manually reviewed by volunteers. Initially, you did not add a source for File:Josephine Skriver (cropped).jpg, so after you added the source I was able to add the original review details even though the Flickr image is no longer available. You also did not leave a backlink in the original that I have now added. It really saves a lot of time and frustration in the first place, so try the CropTool next time. Good luck. Hi, your user talk page currently has too many templates in it for the system to cope with transcluding. If you want, this account can be added to the talk page trimmer which "shrinks" standard notifications to reduce the number of templates. Adding your talk page to the talk page trimmer[edit]

Hi, based on discussion at the administraor's noticeboard and at the village pump, there is a consensus to go ahead with adding user talk pages like this one that have exceeded the maximum transclusion count to be processed by the talk page trimmer. These changes should make your talk page more readable without losing any content, and other users have asked to be added to this housekeeping task for this reason.
