renommer cette catégorie « Cimetière Pk-14 » dans commons[edit]

@Adoscam: . Oui, on peut renommer les catégories comme on peut renommer les articles sur WP. La fonctionnalité est un peu discrète pour ne pas trop encourager les renommages abusifs de tous les gens qui passent par là.
Pour la Category:Cimetière Pk-14, en haut à droite, tu cliques sur la petite flèche à côté de "Plus" et tu vois apparaître la fonction "Renommer".
Peut-être d'ailleurs que "Cimetière Pk-14 de Cotonou" (ou la même chose en anglais) suffirait, puisque cette sous-catégorie viendrait se placer dans la catégorie "Cemeteries in Benin".

@Adoscam: Effectivement ça peut aller comme ça. Lorsque j'ai téléchargé mes photos du cimetière otammari en 2017, j'avais créé la Category:Cemeteries in Benin, mais sans faire de sous-catégorie, car il n'y avait pas d'autres photos de cimetières béninois à ce moment-là.

Bonjour, j'ai trouvé quelques erreurs à corriger à un article mais je viens de remarquer qu'il faut un compte pour éditer sur certains articles.

Pour cette article, pour le président dans l'infobox à la ligne direction, ce doit être à la place 1986 (Jack Stupp 1957-1986 et Michael Haberman 1986-1996), c'est l'année de changement de président.

Et voici un paragraphe avec une source à ajouter en ordre chronologique à la section Histoire, il suffit de recopier le texte source dans cette page de discussion dont voici:

Le {{date|7|février|1986}}, Jack Stupp démissionne de son poste de [[Directeur général|président-directeur général]], et est remplacé par le [[vice-président]] Michael Haberman<ref name="aggressive"/>.

Là le résultat n'est pas bon mais il sera correct à l'article.

Et toujours à la section Histoire à la phrase: En août 1996.., il faudrait changer la fin de la phrase: pour 70 millions de dollars, par: pour environ 75 millions de dollars. C'est ce qui est indiqué dans la référence.

Pour ce cas particulier : [1].
Plus généralement : chaque année je catégorise les milliers d'images du concours Wiki Loves Africa : [2]. Au passage je remarque des anomalies et je les signale rapidement (en général je mets "copyright"), mais je ne peux pas faire davantage dans ce contexte. La pratique meilleure dans ce cas là est, si on trouve l'image sur un autre site web, sans licence libre, et qui soit publiée avant Commons (regarder les dates aussi), est d'insérer {{Delete}} avec l'adresse du site où apparaît l'image (l'URL de Google n'a pas toujours du sens car les résultats d'une recherche peuvent varier d'utilisateur à utilisateur). Dans ce cas, n'importe lequel des deux formes suivantes peut faire l'affaire :

Le temps est précieux pour tout le monde. Vu que les administrateurs sont en nombre limité, ne vous surprenez pas si vos requêtes ne sont pas exaucées par manque d'information ou si elles sont considérées abusives (nombre d'utilisateurs s'amuse à demander à effacer des fichiers sans raison). Il est aussi vrai que Wikiloves Africa porte très souvent des violations de droit d'auteur. Dans ces cas, vous pouvez ouvrir une requête massive: un seul petit effort pour éliminer une centaine de violations (il existe des outils pour automatiser tout ça). --Ruthven (msg) 08:05, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

tagging copyvios[edit]

Hi Ji-Elle, thanks for tagging copyvio-suspected images. However, as your coypvio-suspicion will usually be based on a pre-publication in the web, you should write that finding (either the single-hit URL or the Google-images results-URL) into the copyvio-tag, when tagging an image. Otherwise, the processing admin has to do this research again, which is an unncessary workload. In case you have no specific evidence, it's more appropriate to ask for regular deletion than for speedy deletion. By the way, do you see a link like "report copyvio" in the toolbox at the left-side column on your image-pages? Panoramas[edit]

Pourquoi tu as supprimé la catégorie des panos ? Je bredouille régulièrement lorsque je dois trouver des visuels, soit pour les réseaux sociaux, les bannières ou ISA pour chercher des panoramas qui proviendraient de Wiki Loves Africa. C'était pour ça que j'avais commencé la catégorie... je peux la mettre en catégorie cachée. Mais elle me semble utile... Anthere (talk)

@Anthere: . Ah bon, j'ai cru que c'était une erreur de quelqu'un, surtout à cet endroit, avec un seul fichier. Idem pour Videos à la lettre V, comme si c'était le Venezuela ou le Vatican. Bonsoir, je ne suis pas très disponible en ce moment, mais ça ressemble étrangement à celle-ci :-) :
. C'était à Gunsbach [4], le GPS de la première photo le confirme. Il n'y avait pas de cartel explicatif, ça faisait partie des nombreux cadeaux et objets réunis par la collaboratrice d'Albert Schweitzer. Pas une grande valeur probablement. @Anthere: Oui, j'écrivais : D'abord les femmes. Il n'y en a pratiquement pas sur les photos, sauf avec un truc sur la tête (Headcarrying by country). De fait presque toutes les porteuses du Bénin, Burkina, RC, RDC, Mauritanie, Zambie, viennent de WLA2020. Entre temps on a quand même eu quelques motocyclistes et une conductrice de bus, mais ça reste maigre. Study shows Wiki Love Africa recruitment makes a difference[edit]

Hello Ji-Elle

We are writing because you have participated in the Wiki Loves Africa (WLA) photo competition in the past. Results have been published and winning pictures may be seen here !

This year WLA partnered with the research organization CAT Lab (previously CivilServant) to help us evaluate the effectiveness of one of our recruitment efforts. You may or may not have received a message on your user talk page encouraging you to participate again in this year's competition.

We are excited to share with you their study found our recruitment message was a success and may have resulted in as many as 2,000 additional contributed photos. We hope you agree this is great news for Africa and its representation across Wikimedia. You can read more about the study and the results in this blog post.

A photo of the tetartoid from the left would also be interesting. It is not obvious how the bicolor cube it rests on might look from the left.
