First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Korrekte Angaben zu Foto nötig

Hallo Schmeissnerro; ich denke, dass das Foto File:Theresia Bruckner, geb. Helm, auf dem Totenbett 1860.jpg hier auf Commons problemlos gehostet werden kann, da von 1860 und damit wohl gemeinfrei, du hast es aber nicht korrekt hochgeladen: Als "Own work", das ist dieses Foto ja zweifelsohne nicht. Es fehlt die Angabe der Quelle: Wo hast du das Foto her? Und die Lizenz cc-by-sa-4.0 ist bei einem gemeinfreien alten Foto ebenfalls nicht anwendbar. Es könnte höchstens sein, dass das Foto noch einen Schutz der "editio princeps" hat, wenn es in den letzten 25 Jahren erstmals veröffentlicht worden wäre. Wenn diese erste Veröffentlichung durch dich erfolgt ist, könntest du der Inhaber dieser Rechte sein und dann auch z.B. eine CC-Lizenz vergeben. Hat das Foto aber jemand anders erstveröffentlicht und liegt diese Erstveröffentlichung weniger als 25 Jahre zurück, müssen wir das Foto eventuell sogar löschen. Riegelsberg St. Elisabeth

Hallo Schmeissnerro, ich habe dein Foto der Mayer-Orgel in St. Elisabeth Riegelsberg aus dem Jahr 2011 gesehen (die Orgel ist heute in St. Severin Salzburg). Da die Kirche mittlerweile abgerissen wurde und im ganzen Internet keine weiteren Fotos von der Kirche existieren, wollte ich fragen, ob du damals weitere Fotos von der Kirche (Innen- und Außenaufnahmen) gemacht hast und diese hochladen würdest? Ich würde nämlich eventuell einen Artikel über die Kirche anlegen und würde mich über Fotos freuen.

Hallo, danke für die schnelle Reaktion und die guten Fotos! Darf ich die Bilder vom Raum eventuell ein wenig nachbearbeiten, d.h. nur Schatten und Licht ausgleichen, sodass man mehr darauf erkennen kann? An sich sind die Bilder nämlich sehr gut!

Hallo,
ich verstehe diesen Löschantrag zu deinen neuen Fotos von St. Elisabeth überhaupt nicht! Es scheint mir wirklich, dass der Tabernakel als Kunstwerk offenbar unter das Urheberrecht des Künstlers fällt. (Komischerweise wurden die Fotos von den Personen Stephan Mayer und Herrn Larisch nicht beanstandet, das hätte ich jetzt eher vermutet.). Ich hoffe inständig, dass die Bilder bleiben dürfen, denn es ist überhaupt ein Wunder, dass jemand die Kirche noch so kurz vor dem Abriss schnell fotografisch dokumentiert hat. Ein Zensurbalken über dem Tabernakel wäre echt schade...

Nochmal Riegelsberg St. Elisabeth

Lieber Schmeissnerro,

wie ich gesehen habe wurden deine Innenfotos aus der Kirche St. Elisabeth in Riegelsberg leider gelöscht... Grund -soweit ich das verstanden habe- war wohl, dass der Tabernakel im Vordergrund war und dieser unter das Urheberrecht des Künstlers fällt...

Ich finde es wirklich sehr schade, denn deine Aufnahmen haben durchaus einen guten Eindruck vom Innenraum der Kirche vermittelt und ich wollte dich fragen ob es nicht irgendeine Möglichkeit gäbe, dass du die Fotos wieder hochlädst und dabei den Tabernakel herausschneidest, bzw. mit einem schwarzen Zensurbalken verdeckst? Das ist zwar eine zugegebenermaßen irgendwie "bescheuerte" Lösung, doch andererseits sind deine Fotos die einzigen, die die Raum- und Deckenkonstruktion in irgendeiner Weise zeigen.

St. Michael im Lungau

Sehr geehrter Herr Schmeißner, ich interessiere mich für die früheren Orgeln in St. Michael i.Lg. von 1701 und 1759. Ich hatte Ihre sehr interessanten Fotos der (anscheinend leider immer noch nicht restaurierten) Meyenberg-Orgel in St. Martin auf SalzburgWiki gesehen. Haben Sie vielleicht auch Disposition(en) dieser Orgeln? Man kann leider nicht alle Register am Spielschrank lesen. vielen Dank und viele Grüsse aus München! Bilderwunsch App

Hallo Schmeissnerro, unter https://bldrwnsch.toolforge.org/#map=13.30666666666667/13.0642/47.8054 findest du die Bilderwunsch App. Bilderwünsche sind erst erfüllt, wenn das hochgeladene Bild auch an der Stelle, wo es gewünscht wurde, eingebunden ist und der Bilderwunsch damit verschwindet. In Listen ist das einfach das Einfügen eines Bildes, sonst gibt es den Baustein, der den Bilderwunsch triggert, der gehört dann durch das Bild ersetzt.
