Hi, about the files Ruta Provincial 0XX (Argentina).svg you have created and asked to rename, the suggested new names are extremely generic and non-descriptive. Could you possible suggest a better name, which gives an indication of the content of the image? TommyG (talk) 20:39, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have chosen this name because it is similar to the one used by the road signs of the National routes.

For example:
RN5-AR.svg
RP5-AR.svg

RN5 = National Route 5
RP5 = Provincial Route 5

But you can propose another name if you want.
Hurfer (talk) 15:17, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, no, I'm just giving my opinion as a file mover, I have no interest in these files beyond that. I won't be moving them as I disagree with the naming convention, but I won't decline the move request either so maybe another file mover has a different opinion and will move them for you. TommyG (talk) 07:01, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

¿Por qué no llamarlos p. Ej. Ruta_provincial_##_(Argentina) ?

Your file taggings[edit]

Hi Hurfer, recently you uploaded a lot of SVG files. I know about because I had been alarmed of your bad tagging: you tagged them all with {{inkscape}} - ignoring that it shows with a red background a failure.

Some if your last files ae now in Unspec new SVG created with Inkscape waiting for maintenance. When you do not use a correct tag you leave it to others to repair your faults; not very nice. For information how to tag correctly you may look at Commons talk:SVG marker templates.

Depends

and much more. Saludos cordiales -- sarang사랑 11:05, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your file taggings[edit]

As I told you on Dec 29: Please don't use {{inkscape}}. See the correct tagging at e.g. RN228-AR.svg. When you upload files, you should not use deprecated and unwanted wrong templates and let it to others to correct your mistakes. -- sarang사랑 10:55, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We need your feedback![edit]

Hello. Apologies if this message is not in your native language: please feel free to respond in the language of your choice. Thank you!

I am writing to you because we are looking for feedback for a new Wikimedia Foundation project, Structured Data Across Wikimedia (SDAW). SDAW is a grant-funded programme that will explore ways to structure content on wikitext pages in a way that will be machine-recognizable and -relatable, in order to make reading, editing, and searching easier and more accessible across projects and on the Internet. We are now focusing on designing and building image suggestion features for experienced users.

We have some questions to ask you about your experience with uploading images here on Wikimedia Commons and then adding them to Wikipedia. You can answer these questions on a specific feedback page on Mediawiki, where we will gather feedback. As I said, these questions are in English, but your answers do not need to be in English! You can also answer in your own language, if you feel more comfortable.

Once the collecting of feedback will be over, we will sum it up and share with you a summary, along with updated mocks that will incorporate your inputs.

Also, if you want to keep in touch with us or you want to know more about the project, you can subscribe to our newsletter.

Hope to hear from you soon! -- Sannita (WMF) (talk to me!) 09:56, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

La Cruz Cordoba, Flag[edit]

I talked to the municipality of La Cruz, Cordoba. I found out that the flag of Santa Rosa de Calamuchita is actually the flag of La Cruz, and the other flag of La Cruz is the unfinished one with another colors. Santa Rosa de Calamuchita actually has no flag. In the La Cruz page I actually edited the flags to reflect the real La Cruz flag. 152.231.61.120 01:27, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

San Fernando Flag[edit]

The flag in San Fernando, Buenos Aires is not used anymore. Now they used the flag with the white background the city logo and the text, San Fernando Municipio. In fact, in the youtube video I'm posting the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t9judCpT58&feature=youtu.be At minute 1:04 They actually show the flag just to let you know. 181.229.240.176 21:58, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the San Fernando Flag. If you wanna reconvert it to vector, you know what to do. 2marco4 (talk) 01:17, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I translated this gallery from Español to English language. Alexphangia (talk) 12:47, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pedido[edit]

Hola, Hurfer.

Graciasalbertico22 (talk) 18:58, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Flag of Olavarria[edit]

Please would you make the flag of Olavarria as clear as possible by making it an SVG file?

Thanks 181.229.240.176 15:55, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Flag of Castelli (Buenos Aires)[edit]

I uploaded a photo of the flag of Castelli right on the wikipedia page: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partido_de_Castelli

Feel free to redesign the flag of that page with the design and colours provided here:

Public domain

This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 70 years or fewer.

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term. Honduras has a general copyright term of 75 years, but it does implement the rule of the shorter term. Copyright may extend on works created by French who died for France in World War II (more information), Russians who served in the Eastern Front of World War II (known as the Great Patriotic War in Russia) and posthumously rehabilitated victims of Soviet repressions (more information).

Sobrescribir archivos[edit]

Fma12 (talk) 20:06, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Flags and Coat of arms. Argentina.[edit]

Please add the town flags and coat of arms, as they have been removed due to no longer constituting as Public Domain, as they might have copyright.

From who? From each of the towns municipalities. 2marco4 (talk) 02:56, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Logotipo de la Provincia de Mendoza.svg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Pay attention to copyright
File:Logo de TATSA.svg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Thanks for uploading File:Uruguay vs. Iraq - 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup (6).jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Notification about possible deletion[edit]

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Affected:
