Would you please fix Fort Bend County, Texas? Clinton won the county, but it is shaded for Trump. Thank you. --1990'sguy (talk) 20:59, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning your message on my talk page, Harris County, Texas is correctly colored for Clinton, but Fort Bend County, which is smaller and directly to the south is incorrectly colored for Trump. I believe you are mistaking the two. --1990'sguy (talk) 21:13, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Please see File:United States presidential election results by county, 2016.svg to see what I mean. It is correctly colored there. --1990'sguy (talk) 21:29, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Congressional District Map[edit]

I noticed a few issues on your congressional district map in the way of shading. Donald Trump won 80.4% of the vote in Alabama's 4th congressional district, with your map placing him in the 70%-80% range. Also, Trump won 70.8% of the vote in Alabama's 6th congressional district, with the map for the district being shaded in the 60%-70% range. Lastly, Trump won 60.5% of the vote in North Carolina's 3rd congressional district, with the map placing the vote in the 50%-60% range. I think you all ready have a great map but would really appreciate it if you could add these changes. Here is where I got my information about the districts: [1] Count Awesome (talk) 16:48, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Congressional District Map[edit]

Sorry to bother you, but I noticed a few more things that you might want to know about. On the 2012 map, Texas's 13th congressional district is shaded with Mitt Romney getting over 90% of the vote. While the district is very Republican, I refered to the table made by the Daily Kos and found that Romney only won 80.2% of the vote. I found on your color key that you didn't have the shade for 80%-90% Republican vote so I copied the 2016 one in.

Also, a couple more things on the 2016 map. Donald Trump won 60.2% of the vote in Kansas's 4th congressional district but the map is shaded at 50%-60%. Also, Donald Trump won 60.0% of the the vote in Pennsylvania's 11th congressional district, with the map shading it in the 50%-60% range, but considering the exact nature of that percentage, I'm not sure if that necessitates a change. Lastly, would you be able to change the party shading in Polk County, Florida for the presidential election in Florida map. Donald Trump only got 55.37% of the vote, a total from the county results table, but the county is shaded in the 60%-70% range. Sorry to bother you. I really appreciate your maps. Thank you very much! Count Awesome (talk) 02:05, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It is very hard to make out any counties or their colors. I recommend using darker shades here. Master of Time (talk) 22:10, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help Granted![edit]

Haha thank you so much! Im loving all the positive feedback I’m getting on this map! And absolutely, I can for sure add the extra numbers on the top, that’ll only take a few minutes to do. When Im done ill just reupload it as a new version of the file you created. I might even use that same design to create party strength maps for all the parties actually! That’ll be a fun side project!

More Coloured Canada Maps[edit]

Im happy to see you liked the changes I made! As of this moment I am working on a map for the Conservative vote by riding. I was planning to do the Bloc Quebecois vote after this. I was wondering if you wanted to do the NDP and the Green party vote maps, if you would like to do so.

- DrRandomFactor, Ph.D

Categories?[edit]

Fantastic, I cant wait to see it! Working on the Conservative map now. Also, which categories did you upload the file into when you submitted it to Wikimedia?

(in reply to the NDP Map) Not a problem man! I've been there, school screws everything up. Take your time man its not issue. In the meantime Ive been working on some election maps for Australia

Australian Electoral Division Map (Blank)

Australian Electoral Division Map (Coloured By Party)

Australian Election 2016 - First Preference Vote

Australian Election 2016 - Two-Party Prefered Vote

Australian Senate Election 2016

Fantastic! Cant wait to see the NDP map! Also, crap you're right I noticed Brampton. I'll have to fix that. That means Ill have to make changes to all the maps I made tho. Oh well. If you need the updated map just look for the most recent change on any of the Canada maps. I have a day off today so I will be fixing them. Also, thanks for the change to the Saskatcheewan riding that had the wrong NDP colour, I totaly missed that.

Ok, just finished all the updates to all the Canada election 2015 maps where I fixed the Brampton border issue. As well, that is a very well done NDP map! Im very happy with how it turned out! Also, the Green Party map had an issue where some of the inset names were turned green accidentally. No problem, I fixed it up when I edited it. As well, that Green Party map looked like it was no issue to make at all, pretty much all of them were the same colour :)

Good idea, Mr.Election. The green party did fluctuate between 0-10 and 10-20 percent of the vote so there can be some variety. The riding where they did the best was obviously May's riding of Sannich-Gulf Islands.

Yeah I can do that! I gotta head to work in a little bit though but when I get back I will for sure do them.

In response to the two by-election maps, absolutely I can do that! I can do it for tomorrow, as work is kind of kicking my butt at the moment. (Don't ever work 5 days a week as a bus boy)

So I was able to do the riding by election map no problem, but the province one I cannot do as I cannot locate the font used for the letters (or at least locate a free version of it)

Hello[edit]

Hello Mr.Election, do you have an email address I could use to message you quickly? I am not a fan of the Wikimedia discussion board.

Sure thing. It's ylquevedo71@gmail.com. --Mr.Election (talk) 22:39, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the email address! This will speed up communication bigtime. As for creating lettering, you mentioned using Inkscape. Unfortunately I use Adobe Illustrator (which isn't totally different, after all they both create vectors) so I could not say how exactly to make text.

However, what I do do when I make them is using the text tool, write out the text you need. I typically use Arial Bold 99% of the time. All of my maps use that font for the text. When you have what you need written out, it is very important to expand the text. That way the text is a vector and not a simply text line in the .svg file. It is very important that you do this because any un-expanded text in an SVG file will show up weird when you submit the file to Wikimedia. Ive made that mistake several times.

1976 Michigan and Georgia Map Requests[edit]

Hey Mr.Election! I really like the 1968 presidential election map you made for Texas and have been working with Ali Zifan to make more election maps for that same year. However, I was wondering if you could make a couple of election maps for the states of Michigan and Georgia in 1976. Michigan was the home state of Republican nominee and incumbent President Gerald Ford, while Georgia was the home state of Democratic nominee and eventual winner Jimmy Carter. I think it would be helpful to see their home states votes broken down on a statewide level, and would appreciate it if you could do so. Thanks! Kansas's 4th Congressional District 2017 special election request[edit]

Hey Mr.Election! Thank you for the maps for made for Georgia and Michigan in 1976. They are fine quality. I have another map request for you but this is different than a presidential map. I noticed how you broke down a congressional election into results by counties for Arkansas 2nd Congressional district. I was wondering if you could make a map similar to that for the special election held in 2017 in Kansas's 4th Congressional District to fill the vacancy left by Mike Pompeo, who resigned to become CIA Director. The New York Times has made a map of the district based of off the county results. Here is the link: nytimes.com/elections/results/kansas-house-special-election-district-4. If you could duplicate it for Wikipedia, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks!

1980 Michigan U.S. Presidential Election Map Requests[edit]

Hey Mr.Election! I really like the 1976 presidential election map you made for Michigan! I was wondering if you could make an of election maps for Michigan in 1980. Given that the last time Republican Presidential Candidate Michigan voted for was Ronald Reagan, and similarities between 1980 and 2016 I think it would be helpful to see the vote broken down on a state level. I would appreciate it if you could help out in anyway. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.234.177.120 (talk) 14:51, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Montana's At-large Congressional District 2017 special election request[edit]

Hey Mr.Election! I really liked the map you made for the special election in Kansas's 4th Congressional District and I was wondering if you could make a map similar to that for the special election held in 2017 in Montana's at-large Congressional District to fill the vacancy left by Ryan Zinke, who resigned to become Secretary of the Interior. The New York Times has made a map of the district based of off the county results. Here is the link: nytimes.com/elections/results/montana-house-special-election. File:By-elections to the 42nd Canadian Parliament results by riding.svg[edit]

Hi Mr.Election,

Would you mind adjusting the names of the party leaders on this map?

  • Conservative should be Ambrose/Scheer (adding new leader)
  • Bloc should be Fortin/Ouellet (adding old leader and fixing typo)

Thanks! Madg2011 (talk) 17:33, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your feedback. Fair point about Scheer, but it would still be great if you could remove the extra T from Ouellet's name.
As for Fortin/Ouellet, I'd still include Fortin - he was leader during the Medicine Hat--Cardston--Warner byelection, and had this map been made at that time, he'd presumably have been included on the legend despite the Bloc not contesting it.

Georgia's 6th and South Carolina's 5th Congressional Districts 2017 special election map requests[edit]

Hi Mr.Election! I really appreciate the maps you made for the special elections in Kansas and Montana. Yesterday, two more elections were held in Georgia's 6th and South Carolina's 5th congressional districts, which were vacated by Tom Price and Mick Mulvaney respectively, who resigned to take positions in the Trump Administration. If you could make, maps for these two elections, it would be much appreciated.

Here is the link for the special election in South Carolina's 5th: nytimes.com/elections/results/south-carolina-house-special-election.

For Georgia's 6th congressional district, it consists of only portions of three counties, Cobb, Fulton, and DeKalb. Due to the small size of the district, The New York Times' map breaks the vote down into precincts rather than at the county level. However, the map does show boundaries for these counties and it has the total number of votes each candidate got in the counties listed below in a separate table without the percentages listed. Taking this data, I found the percentages. Republican Karen Handel won Cobb County with 45,625 votes and 58.15% as well as Fulton County with 64,900 votes and 52.72%. Democrat Jon Ossoff won DeKalb County with 33,847 votes and 58.44%. This is just some information I thought you may need to be aware of. Here is the map for Georgia's 6th: nytimes.com/elections/results/georgia-congressional-runoff-ossoff-handel. Count Awesome (talk) 22:25, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. The way the district was drawn up is quite confusing. Thank you for your South Carolina map! Count Awesome (talk) 06:13, 23 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2016 Montana congressional election map[edit]

Mr. Election, as you have been making maps showing the results of congressional races in their states breaking it down by district for the 2016 house elections, I would appreciate it if you could make a map for Montana's sole congressional district in the form of a county breakdown map. There is a map published by the Montana Secretary of State it does not color code beyond the red and blue color scheme and you have to click on the county to see the results. Here is a link to the page: sos.mt.gov/elections/results.

Once you click the link, go to the 2016 General section and click County by County. When you do this, it will bring up the results for each individual county in Montana. Click any county and it will bring you to a break down of that county's vote. Go to the section that says US Representative and click the map icon directly under it and it will give a county result breakdown for the entire state. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Count Awesome (talk • contribs) 09:28, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you can get around to making this map, it would be quite appreciated. Count Awesome (talk) 09:12, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nevada congressional election map[edit]

I appreciate you making the Nevada congressional election map. However, I did notice that the shading on that map was off for the 3rd and 4th congressional districts. Democrat Jacky Rosen of the 3rd district won 47.23% of the vote to Republican Danny Tarkanian's 45.97%, while Democrat Ruben Kihuen of the 4th district won 48.52% of the vote, defeating incumbent Cresent Hardy, who took 44.51%. The shading on your map indicates that both Rosen and Kiheun won in the 50-60% range of the popular vote, when both actual won in the 40-50% range, meaning it should be a lighter shade of blue. I would appreciate it if you could change the shading to the lighter shade of blue. Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 23:22, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I think I now understand what you did. I thought you were doing the shading based on 10% increments and there would be a different color for under 50%. I noticed you did something like that for the Texas congressional map. Thank you for responding and correcting me. Count Awesome (talk) 02:39, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2017 Utah's 3rd Congressional district special election map request[edit]

Hi Mr. Election! I really liked the special election maps you did for Kansas, Montana, and South Carolina earlier this year, and I was wondering if you would be willing to do a map for the special election held in Utah's 3rd Congressional district last month. Here is the link for the special election in Utah's 3rd: nytimes.com/elections/results/utah-house-special-election.

However, the map published by The New York Times indicates that it reflects only 61% of the reported vote. Because of this, I totaled the percentages by county on a table which I posted on the page for the special election. The map is for the most part accurate with the only major differences being that the Republican John Curtis's percentage of the vote in Utah County fell from 70.5%, as reported by The New York Times, to 69.33% when all the votes were reported. Also, his percentage of the vote in San Juan County fell from 52.1%, as reported by The New York Times, to 49.07% when all the votes were reported. The way I calculated these percentages was by taking the totals by county as published by the state and calculating the percentages in Excel. If you could create a map, it would be very appreciated. Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 19:35, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2018 Pennsylvania's 18th Congressional district special election map request[edit]

Hi Mr.Election! Do you think you would be able to make a map for the special election in Pennsylvania's 18th congressional district where it shows the results by county such as what you did in Utah's 3rd previously? The New York Times has provided a map for the results of the district: nytimes.com/interactive/2018/03/13/us/elections/results-pennsylvania-house-special-election.html

There are four counties in the district, and while the map provided by The New York Times divides them into precincts, the boundaries for the counties are still very distinct. The results too are for the most part accurate, and I have updated the results on the special election page with information provided by the Pennsylvania Department of State. The Democrat Conor Lamb won the district with 49.86% of the vote to the Republican Rick Saccone, who won 49.54% of the vote. Lamb won Allegheny County with 57.27%, while Saccone won Greene County with 57.59%, Washington County with 53.14%, and Westmoreland County with 57.00% of the vote. If you could make this map, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 21:28, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2019 Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District special election[edit]

Hi Mr.Election! I do not mean to impose on you, but I would like to request a map. There was a special election held in Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District a couple of months ago, and I was wondering if you could make a map in order to display the results. I have found a map published by the New York Times which displays the information by county, which I will share in the following link: [2]. The Republican candidate Fred Keller won the special election with 68.08% of the vote, while his Democratic opponent Marc Friedenberg garnered 31.92% of the vote. I really like the style you used on the map of the Utah special election you made a couple of years ago, and I hope you would be able to repeat that here. Thank you so much! 2018 North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District General Election map request[edit]

Hi Mr.Election! I would like to thank you so much for the map you made of the special election in Pennsylvania. The map you made is of excellent quality. Would you be willing to make another map for a House election? I found a map published by The New York Times with the breakdown by county of the election results in North Carolina’s 9th congressional district election, which made national headlines due to a voter fraud controversy which ultimately led to the state election board declining to certify the results and sending it to a revote in the fall. The Republican nominee Mark Harris led the vote count with 49.25%, while his Democratic opponent Dan McCready narrowly trailed with 48.93% of the vote. Here is a link to the map of the results: [3]. If you could create this map, it would really be appreciated! Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 02:09, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2018 Georgia’s 6th Congressional District General Election map request[edit]

Hi Mr.Election! Thank you so much for making the map for the North Carolina House race in such a timely fashion. Would you be able to make another map of a House race? I found a map published by The New York Times for the race held in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District. The Democratic nominee Lucy McBath won the election with 50.51% of the vote to the Republican incumbent Karen Handel’s 49.49%. Here is the link to the county results map: [4]. If you could make this map, it would really be appreciated. Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 05:50, 21 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2018 Texas’s 27th & 2017 Georgia’s 6th Congressional District special election map requests[edit]

Hi Mr.Election! I would like to thank you for yet another well made map. I was wondering if you could make a couple more special election maps, as they really do highlight in the best detail the results of their respective constituencies. Would you be able to make a map for a special election which occurred last year in Texas’s 27th Congressional District? The Republican candidate Michael Cloud won the election with 54.76% of the vote, while his closest opponent Eric Holguin took 31.96% of the vote. Cloud won every county in the district, as indicated by this map published by The New York Times: [5]

The other request is for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, although this time it would be of the special election held in 2017. The Republican Karen Handel won the election with 51.78% of the vote, while her Democratic opponent Jon Ossoff took 48.22%. Handel won Cobb County with 57.98% and Fulton with 52.64%, while Ossoff carried DeKalb with 58.45%. I hope you can use the 2018 map as a template, as it is a very similar result, although the Republican narrowly prevailed in this instance. If you could create this map, it would really be appreciated. Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 04:29, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mr.Election! Thank you so much for making the map of the special election in Georgia’s 6th congressional district. It is yet another of your well made creations. Would be able to make of map for the NC-9 special election which was held in September of this year? The Republican Dan Bishop won with 50.69% to his opponent Democrat Dan McCready’s 48.70%. Bishop carried Bladen County with 59.32%, Cumberland County with 49.85%, Richmond County with 51.96%, and Union County with 59.92%. McCready carried Anson County with 56.86%, Mecklenburg County with 55.96%, Robeson County with 50.45%, and Scotland County with 56.19%. I hope this map would not be to difficult to make, as you could use the 2018 one as a template. If you could do this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Alaska results in 2016 US Presidential election[edit]

@MisterElection2001 and MB298: Hey- on 14 December 2016, you updated [6] Alaska's county by county (borough by borough) 2016 US Presidential election results for File:United_States_presidential_election_results_by_county,_2016.svg. I can't find any source on Wikipedia for this information. Another map of the Alaskan results [7] was made by MB298 seemingly based on the edit you made. Could you provide a source for the information you provided? For instance, I would like to see a list of election totals from Yukon-Koyukuk Borough in which Clinton received 50 to 60 percent of the votes cast- based on what we see on the map, there should maybe be somewhere around a thousand or more votes for Clinton and several hundred for Trump (blind guess based on population figures). Without this information, I have to add "citation needed" banners to both the Alaska page and the overall election page. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 10:25, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm interested in this because there was apparently a map on Trump's desk recently that showed the area in Alaska I'm talking about in red (seemingly meaning they voted majority Trump in 2016). In this clip [8] (9:30) Seth Meyers quotes a Vox article that says that the map on Trump's desk colored some Clinton-won counties in red, and this borough I'm bringing up is one that seems to be colored "alternately". I'm coming to Wikipedia looking for data so I can be an informed person- was Vox's claim right? Who did the people in this borough vote for? --Geographyinitiative (talk) 10:38, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MisterElection2001 and MB298: I have removed these two images from English Wikipedia since they include unsourced information. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 02:20, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Geographyinitiative: they came from a guy who calculated precinct results and then added them up to get the borough results...MB298 (talk) 23:21, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MB298: This explanation sounds like it makes sense. However, the word 'precinct' does not appear on the 2016 United States presidential election in Alaska page. My only question is: is this source of information you are referring to linked on Wikipedia anywhere? If it is not, is it morally right to display information on Wikipedia mainspace that has no linked or cited source? I am approaching this problem from the perspective of a caveman or an alien trying to understand American elections. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 13:12, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Geographyinitiative: here's the source: https://rrhelections.com/index.php/2018/02/02/alaska-results-by-county-equivalent-1960-2016/ MB298 (talk) 21:25, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MB298 and Number 57: The link you provided [9] is younger (2018) than our map (2017) and has the words "Est Total Votes"- I don't need an estimate, I just need the Alaska Board of Elections numbers, without any middle man involved making "estimates". I do not consider that page a valid source at this time, especially because the proposed source was created after the map was created. Geographyinitiative (talk) 23:47, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MisterElection2001, MB298, and Number 57: Here's the slogan appearing at the top of the page linked above: "Candidates, Elections, and Politics from the Right Perspective". That website just can't be the foundation of Wikipedia's election maps. I'm sorry. Geographyinitiative (talk) 12:02, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MisterElection2001, MB298, and Number 57: My conclusion is this: no one has actually put in the leg work to create a source for the Alaska map. The data is probably here somehow: [10]. I'll try to figure out the answer to my question above with this data, but it will be hard work. Geographyinitiative (talk) 12:23, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Here's that Vox article. [11] I think I can now see what the problem is: there were no official results at the borough level in Alaska, so the map on Trump's desk was done by Congressional district when it came to Alaska- and Alaska is all one district. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 12:43, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MisterElection2001, MB298, Number 57, and Geographyinitiative: There's a very simple reason why no official Alaska borough/Census Area results exist: the State of Alaska doesn't report results that way. Alaska results are reported by precinct/State House District. A few precincts cross boroughs/Census Areas. Plus, the absentee/question/early votes are only reported by State House District. Even more State House Districts cross borough/Census Area lines than precincts. Thus, any borough/census area results you see are just that - estimates.
My article on RRH and my own website makes it very clear that they are just estimates. Both also include a link to a spreadsheet with my computations. Anyone who disagrees with my computations is free to make their own estimates, using the data I've compiled from official Alaska sources.
RRH wasn't the first place I put a 2016 estimate map up. IIRC, I did it fairly contemporaneously with the 2016 election on uselectionatlas.org (which is now talkelections.org). I can't find it on there, but I have a photo of a map on my computer with the unofficial results created in November 2016. Don't discount my map because of the lack of a sourcing - it's probably as good an estimate as you're ever going to get; discount it because there are no official Alaska borough/census area results.
Also, please note that someone (not me) appears to have put borough/census area maps in the 2012 and prior AK results Wikipedia articles, too. Wikipedia should be consistent - delete all or keep all. I honestly don't care which.
tl;dr version: Official Alaska borough/census area results are like a unicorn. They don't exist. --Cinyc (talk) 07:10, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

2018 New York’s 11th congressional district general election map request[edit]

Hi MisterElection2001! I would like to first express my appreciation for making these house race maps I requested a while back (like the one above of GA-06), and I was wondering if you could make another election map. Would you be able to make a map for the 2018 general election in New York’s 11th congressional district? The Democrat Max Rose won with 52.99% of the vote to the Republican Dan Donovan’s 46.54%. Rose won both counties in the district: Kings County with 59.72% and Richmond County with 50.43%. Here is a map of the race and results published by The New York Times: [12]. If you could make this map, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 21:40, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

2019 North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District special election map request[edit]

Hi MisterElection2001! Thank you so much for making that excellent map of the election in NY-11. I was wondering if you would be willing to make another one, although this one would be for the 2019 special election held in NC-3. I found a map published by the New York Times which does a good job representing the race by the county level: [13]. I really appreciated your willingness to help me on the New York map, and I certainly understand to obligations that school can place upon you. Hi MisterElection2001! I wanted to thank you for the map you made of the NC-03 special election. You did an excellent job representing the Outer Banks and the coastline of the state. I was wondering if you would be able to make a map of the 2018 SC-01 general election? Here is a map produced by The New York Times which has a county by county breakdown of the results: [14]. Illinois’s 2nd congressional district map requests[edit]

Hi MisterElection2001! Thank you for making the map of SC-01. I thought you did a wonderful job on developing the boundaries of the counties. I was wondering if you would be willing to take a couple more requests, both of which are related to IL-02. Could you make a map for the 2018? Here is a county map published by The New York Times: [15]. Also, I have been working on the page for 2013 special election in IL-02, and I was hoping you could make a county map for that race. The Democratic candidate Robin Kelly won Cook County with 82.40%, while the Republican candidate Paul McKinley won Kankakee with 50.41% and Will County with 43.02%. If you could create this maps, I would really be grateful. Thank you! Count Awesome (talk) 07:05, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How’d you fixed the county map of my project of Wyoming in the 1920 election.[edit]

Hey. I appreciated you fixing my image of the Wyoming Presidential Election county shading of the 1920 election. I’m wondering how’d you fixed it by removing the counties that weren’t founded yet. TylerKutschbach (talk) 06:32, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Tyler! I used Inkscape to edit the county boundaries. For some counties I just had to merge them, while others I had to completely change their shape. You can find the older county boundaries on the pages for each president election in Wyoming on U.S. Election Atlas. MisterElection2001 (talk) 13:03, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. On Photopea I did try to merge counties for the Wyoming counties for the counties in the elections of 1892 to 1908 but I saw a small white line when I do merge them. How can I get rid of the line when I merge the counties. TylerKutschbach (talk)

I really appreciate a lot of the maps you create. However, I'd appreciate if you were consistent with the generally-used colors for maps like File:2016 United States Senate election in Vermont - Results by municipality.svg - it makes inclusion in pages a lot easier. File:Gene Siadek (cropped).jpg was recently deleted[edit]

File:Gene Siadek (cropped).jpg was recently deleted by Túrelio for reasons below. If you disagree with the deletion, you need to file an undeletion request.

Reason for deletion: Copyright violation: https://www.facebook.com/SiadekforSenate/photos/a.110782074015265/110792060680933

2020 Georgia’s 5th CD general election map request[edit]

Hi MisterElection2001! I was wondering if you would be willing to make a map for the house election held in Georgia’s 5th congressional district for the general election in 2020? This seat, vacated by the late Rep. John Lewis, saw the Democratic nominee Nikema Williams take 85.1% of the overall popular vote and the Republican Angela Stanton-King took 14.9%. The county breakdown would be as follows: 83.9% in Fulton County, 85.3% in Clayton County, and 88.1% in DeKalb County. Here is a link to the map and 2020 results published by The New York Times: [16]. If you could make this map, I would really appreciate it. Thank you! 2020 Georgia’s 7th CD general election map request[edit]

Thank you for making the Georgia’s 5th congressional district election map. Would you be able to make one for the Georgia’s 7th congressional district? This was the only House seat to flip from Republican to Democratic without redistricting changing district boundaries. The Democrat Carolyn Bourdeaux won Gwinnett County with 56.7% of the vote, while the Republican Rich McCormick won Forsyth County with 65.1% of the vote. Here is a link to results and map published by The New York Times: [17]. If you could create this map, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 21:47, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File:New Jersey Assemblyman Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) (cropped).jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Election maps[edit]

Hi Leo,
Please make your election map more reusable by not including the legend in the map as in these examples: French regional elections 1986.svg, Regional election2017 Venezuela municipal level. But don't forget to include the {{Legend}} in your description as in this example: 2018 United States Senate elections results map. --Dom (talk) 16:59, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Historic map for Colorado[edit]

hello @MisterElection2001 could you make a historic pre 2001 map of Colorado before Broomfield county was included? https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Colorado_county_map,_cb_500k.svg looks like this: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:1998_Colorado_gubernatorial_election_results_map_by_county.svg also one more needed for pre 1989 with Denver county tweaked slighty https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Colorado_Presidential_Election_Results_1976.svg Putitonamap98 (talk) 18:19, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

also just needed one more with Virginia the older maps had Bedford city within Bedford county

Okay i was just asking because i saw you were the one who was modifying the standardized maps to have historically accurate boundaries like the arizona https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Arizona_(1891%E2%80%931895)_county_map,_cb_500k.svg
who is the orginial creator of these? i can color in the maps i just need someone who can draw them accurately Putitonamap98 (talk) 03:05, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Awmcphee is the person who created these. MisterElection2001 (talk) 04:39, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

2004 Colorado Democratic caucuses county data?[edit]

Hello! When I was looking at the page for the 2004 Democratic primaries, I noticed that you were the one who created the county map for that page. I also noticed how the non-percentage county map has county, rather than CD, data for the Colorado caucuses that year. Do you remember where you found the county data for that race?

Thank you,
PrusBis6187 PrusBis6187 (talk) 01:09, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I got the data from another map I found on U.S. Election Atlas, but I don't know where he got the data. The map should be updated to show the CD totals. MisterElection2001 (talk) 17:21, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Sean Reyes 220 8-18-14 (cropped) (cropped).jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Sean Reyes 220 8-18-14 (cropped) (cropped).jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Could you please update this image? It's pretty out of date by now, missing at least Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Costa Rica. 2603:8081:1300:5FFB:4412:3426:1C29:7DB2 2603:8081:1300:5FFB:4412:3426:1C29:7DB2 07:43, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
