Wertvoller Hinweis auf QIC

Moin Smial! Du hattest bei der QI-Diskussion zum File:Billbrookdeich 171 Südost.jpg einen interessanten Einwurf gemacht und gefragt, ob das Objektiv ggf. das Problem sein könnte. Seit ich vermehrt RAW-Bilder mache (so auch für WLM 2015) habe ich das Gefühl, dass die Bilder mit dem "alten" Multizoom Fehler zeigen, die ich auch durch Bearbeitungen nicht korrigieren kann. So z.B. auch die Halos in meinem anderen Bild vom Schornstein auf dem gleichen Gelände. Die Bilder mit dem neueren Weitwinkel zeigen diese Probleme meist nicht. Hast Du eine Idee, wo ich Informationen finde, um Deine Anregung zu bestätigen? Gruß --Dirtsc (talk) 08:05, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Die "Halos" entstehen nicht durch Objektivfehler, das ist ganz klar ein Effekt, der durch Schärfung irgendwo in der Bildverarbeitungskette entsteht. Leider kenne ich DXO nicht, kann daher nicht sagen, an welchen Schrauben du drehen mußt, um die Nachschärfung besser hinzubekommen. Nachschärfungen arbeiten generell mit lokaler Kontrasterhöhung, insbesondere an Kanten. Es existieren unterschiedliche Verfahren dafür, eins davon ist die Unschärfemaskierung. Bei der gibt es gewöhnlich mindestens zwei Parameter, um die zu steuern. Such mal nach "Radius" und "Intensität" oder ähnlichen Begriffen in deiner Bildbearbeitung. Beides scheint mir zumindest bei dem Kamin zu hoch eingestellt. Möglicherweise hat DXO objektivabhängige Standardwerte und stellt die automagisch ein? Oder aber der Raw-Konverter schärft schon mal bei der "Entwicklung" und bei nachfolgenden Bearbeitungsschritten geht zum Schluß noch ein zweiter Schärfungsschritt drüber?
Wenn man dann noch zu heftig eingestellte Entrauschungsverfahren drüberlaufen läßt, entstehen genau diese seltsamen Bildeffekte, bei denen in kontrastarmen Bereichen Details verschwinden und direkt daneben übermäßige Schärfungen stehen.
Ich hatte mal eine Kompaktkamera von Samsung (Werbegeschenk), die das ganz extrem machte, wohl um die Schwächen des grottenschlechten Objektivs in Kombination mit einem Rauschgenerator als Bildsensor zu vertuschen. Und bei der war das nicht abschaltbar. Falls du entrauschen mußt (bei ISO 400 oder weniger normalerweise völlig überflüssig), sollte das ziemlich am Anfang der Bearbeitungskette passieren, in jedem Fall, bevor irgendwas geschärft, skaliert oder perspektivekorrigiert wird. Und die Schärfung erfolgt normalerweise im allerletzten Schritt, wenn die Bildgröße feststeht.
Generell ist es so, daß die meisten Reisezooms (Superzooms, Suppenzooms, Suppenhühner) zwar ganz nett zur Zeit der 6-MPixel-Kameras waren, aber bei heutigen APS-C-Kameras mit 16, 18 oder gar 24 MPixeln eigentlich nicht mehr zu gebrauchen sind, wenn man wirklich die volle Sensorauflösung nutzen will. Nun kann man sich nicht alle paar Tage mal so eben das gerade aktuelle Spitzenobjektiv kaufen. Ich halte es im Gegensatz zu manchen Puristen daher für völlig legitim, Fotos für die Veröffentlichung um einen sinnvollen Faktor kleiner zu skalieren. Also nicht auf das QIC-Minimum von zwei MPixeln. Aber in den allermeisten realen Aufnahmesituationen geben Kamera, Lichtverhältnisse, Objektivqualität eh nur sechs, acht oder zehn MPixel her, sofern man nicht eine absolute Spitzen-Festbrennweite sowie ein einbetoniertes Stativ verwendet.
Das heißt nicht, daß hochauflösende Kameras überflüssig wären, denn die bieten in der Verarbeitungskette zwischen Druck auf den Auslöser und fertigem Bild natürlich wesentlich mehr Reserven, um das Beste aus dem Rohmaterial herauszuholen. Trotzdem ist dieses Dogma bei QIC, das Runterskalieren generell zu verbieten sucht, fotografischer und technischer Unfug. Genau derselbe Unfug, wie die Idee, JPGs müßten rauschfrei sein und jede Senkrechte zwanghaft senkrecht gezerrt werden. -- Smial (talk) 09:45, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Danke für die Aufmunterung...

der Karmelitermarkt ist mein persönlicher "Playground round the corner", eigentlich kann ich von meinem Balkon auf einen Teil des Platzes runterschauen. Es ist der Ort, bei dem ich langsam meine extreme Scheu, Menschen zu fotografieren, für zumindest bestimmte Situationen abzulegen versuche. Was mir nicht leicht fällt, obschon ich einen guten Teil der Bauern/Händler dort persönlich kenne, ich lebe ja schon über 30 Jahre dort. Eine Kamera und ev. ein Stativ wirkt wie ein Fremdkörper, ich frage mich immer wie es mir gehen würde, wenn ich einfach nur einkaufen will und da steht einer mit dem dicken Glas da. Die letzten Bilder von dort waren die ersten Einsätze mit dem 11-24er, ich hatte damals noch kaum Erfahrung mit dieser Linse. Da es aber der einzige echte Bauernmarkt in Wien ist (zumindest teilweise) ist mir die Dokumentation umso wichtiger--Hubertl 12:02, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Weitwinkelknipserei braucht viel Erfahrung. Meine Festplatte ist gestopft voll mit Schrott, da hilft nur üben. Und sich trauen, dicht ranzugehen, um Wirkung zu erzeugen, ein Bild zu gestalten und nicht nur die Gegend abzufotografieren. Was für mich auch der Grund dafür ist, daß ich die allermeisten Panoramabilder (=zusammengesetzte Weitwinkelbilder) grottenlangweilig finde. Viele Details, Riesenbilder, bestimmt viel Arbeit, um es technisch sauber hinzubekommen, und eben schrecklich öde. -- Smial (talk) 20:39, 14 February 2016 (UTC) Ps: Das mit Knipsen von Menschen habe ich immer noch nicht gelernt, die Scheu, jemandem auf die Pelle zu rücken, ist bei mir ebenfalls sehr groß.

Ein Herzliches Dankeschön für Deinen WLE-Beitrag 2016

Hallo Smial,

der diesjährige Fotowettbewerb „Wiki Loves Earth“ liegt hinter uns. Für Deutschland haben mehr als 1100 Teilnehmer über 18.000 Fotos hochgeladen. Damit sind wir ein gutes Stück vorangekommen bei der Dokumentation der Schutzgebiete und zu schützenden Objekte unserer Natur.

Vorjury und Hauptjury haben eine Auslese nach qualitativen Kriterien vorgenommen und im Ergebnis wurden 100 Preisträger ermittelt. Die TOP-100-Fotos von 64 Fotografen findet Ihr auf unserer WLE-Projektseite.

Doch der gesamte Fotoschatz lässt sich mit nur 100 Fotos kaum erfassen. Daher habe ich nach Themenfeldern eine persönliche Auswahl vorgenommen und diese in Form von Kalenderpostern zusammengestellt. Über ein offizielles Poster mit den TOP-100 hinaus gibt es auch Poster zu Flora, Fauna, Landschaften und zur Geologie. Für jeden Geschmack dürfte bei dieser Kollektion etwas dabei sind. Wer Lust hat kann sich eine preisgünstige Druckerei suchen und ein solches Poster für ca. 15 € im Format A1 ausdrucken lassen. Alle fünf Poster zusammen zeigen mehr als 400 Fotos von über 160 Teilnehmern.

Wenn alles klappt, dann wird das TOP-100-Poster in Kürze auch in höherer Auflage gedruckt und auf der bevorstehenden WikiCon in der Region Stuttgart (Kornwestheim) für die Teilnehmer zum Mitnehmen und Weiterverteilen vorliegen. Auf dieser vom 16.-18. September stattfindenden Konferenz wollen wir auch nächste Schritte und mögliche Projekte mit Blick auf WLE-2017 diskutieren. Vorschläge für eine WLE-Preisverleihung und einen WLE-Workshop im Rahmen der WikiCon liegen auf dem Tisch. Es wäre schön, wenn auch Du dabei wärst.

Der Kalender reicht übrigens bis Juni 2017 und soll dazu einladen, schon in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten erneut auf Fototour rund um den Naturschutz zu gehen. Möge Euch ein Poster bis zum 4. Hören Sie bitte auf, sich bei jedem erdenklichen Anlass auf meine Fotos, meine Bewertungen, meine alten Diskussionsbeiträge etc.pp. zu beziehen. Es steht Ihnen frei zu denken, dass mein Foto schlecht und zu Unrecht QI geworden sei, ja dann stellen Sie es zur Abwahl, aber lassen Sie mich endlich mal in Ruhe, da zwischen mir und Ihnen offensichtlich keine zivilisierte Diskussion (mehr) möglich ist. Ich weiß schon, dass Sie mich für einen Scheinheiligen halten, dem es nur darum geht, so viele eigene Fotos wie möglich zu nominieren und so wenig Konkurrenz wie möglich zuzulassen. Dem ist zwar nicht so, aber Ihre Meinung sei Ihnen unbenommen, nur muss das nicht vor aller Öffentlichkeit breitgemacht werden, das ist dann bewusste Diffamierung und ich muss mir das nicht gefallen lassen. Bitte bedenken Sie, dass das Internet kein rechtsfreier Raum ist und ich mir bei weiterem Stalking Ihrerseits durchaus weitergehende Konsequenzen vorbehalte. könntest du die Karte aktualisieren? Folgende Dinge wären einzutragen:

• 4 gibt es nicht mehr, dafür ist aber NordLink im Bau
• MON.ITA ist im Bau
• NordBalt ist fertig
• East–West Interconnector ist fertig
• ÅL-link ist fertig
• Estlink2 ist fertig
• Spanien-Marokko (Estrecho-Melloussa) ist fertig
• Western HVDC Link ist im Bau
• Malta-Sizilien ist fertig
• Kalabrien-Sizilien (Villafranca Tirrena-Scilla): nur HVAC

Planungen gibt es inzwischen deutlich mehr (z.B. EuroAsia Interconnector, deutsche HGÜ-Korridore)

Ich bin kein SVG-Experte, hatte daran nur mal einen offensichtlichen Fehler beseitigt, weil mir das einfach genug erschien. Wäre vermutlich eher was für einen der Experten aus der Kartenwerkstatt. Generosity Crowdfunding Campaign for User:The Photographer

Please excuse me spamming you. As a regular on Feature Picture Candidatess you will recognise User:The Photographer, who has 86 Featured Pictures. His contributions cover the architecture and culture of Brazil and Venezuela. He has basic photographic equipment: an old D300 camera and 35mm lens, and lives in a poor country where photographic equipment is expensive. The Photographer has recently taken several images using the technique where multiple frames are stitched together to create a high-resolution panorama. However, many times frustrated with the stitching errors that result from trying to take such photos without a proper panoramic head for his tripod. This special equipment permits the camera to be rotated around the entrance pupil of the lens, and eliminates such errors. Having a panoramic head would greatly increase the potential for The Photographer to create sharp high-resolution images for Commons.
