Thanks for uploading File:Iranian Military.webp. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

File copyright status[edit]
Welcome to Wikimedia Commons. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the project, one or more of your file uploads had missing or false information regarding its source and copyright status. Please note that Wikimedia Commons takes copyright rules and infringement very seriously. Files may only be uploaded and included if their copyright status meets the conditions stated in our licensing policy, and if their source is clearly documented. Files that fail to meet those conditions may be deleted, and users who fail to meet them may be blocked. Please follow our first steps, if you haven't already. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the Village Pump copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you. —chaetodipus (talk) 08:09, 6 February 2023 (UTC)

As a courtesy to other editors, it is Commons:Signatures policy to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, deletion requests, and noticeboards. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will then automatically be added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). Thank you.

File:Iraq kifl native moslem ie muslim village with a jewish shrine to the prophet.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

No don't delete it pls Yhyhyhyhy (talk) 09:44, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Yhyhyhyhy, just have a look at the original file from the Library of Congress: File:Iraq. Kifl. Native Moslem (i.e., Muslim) village with a Jewish shrine to the prophet Ezekiel. Jewish rabbi reading. At the entrance to the shrine LOC matpc.16141.tif which has a much larger resolution (3,425 × 4,557 pixels) in comparison to your upload with just 770 × 1,024 pixels. There is no reason to keep a low-resolution duplicate which does not even link to the original at the Library of Congress. Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 14:33, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
Hi Yhyhyhyhy, I am not sure why you uploaded this. You fill find the complete film at File:Le Voyage dans la lune (black and white, 1902).webm and there is this still at 5:36 (in higher resolution and significantly better quality). More from this film can be found at Category:Le voyage dans la lune (film). Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 08:24, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- Did you know that the Mediawiki software allows to present a still of an uploaded film for a specific time? The still below has been generated using [[File:Le Voyage dans la lune (black and white, 1902).webm|mini|thumbtime=05:36]]. More infos about this feature can be found at mw:Extension:TimedMediaHandler or at WP:EIS#Video files. --AFBorchert (talk) 08:57, 11 February 2023 (UTC)

I found the image in picryl and also I didn't know it had a film Yhyhyhyhy (talk) 09:52, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- It is a quite famous landmarking film from 1902, just have a look at the Wikipedia article covering it: Le voyage dans la lune. It is the best piece known from its film director, Georges Méliès. The movie is based on Jule Verne's 1865 novel De la Terre à la Lune, trajet direct en 97 heures 20 minutes and the 1875 opera Le voyage dans la lune by Jaques Offenbach where likewise a cannon is used to launch the vessel on its trajectory to the moon. In the depicted scene the cannon is closed after the vessel has been moved into it at the rear. Have you now seen the movie? Did you like it? --AFBorchert (talk) 14:55, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
