Hello, I see you uploaded a number of photos of wax figures of Madame Tussaud's. You name Public Domain as the licende. It strikes me that a wax cabinet should use this licence – typically such works of modern art are copyrighted by their authors. Photographs of such items are thus covered by the copyright of the artist. Could you provide information on the copyright status of the wax figures you uploaded photos of? I'm worried they are not in line with the licence guidelines. --Wikipeder 16:00, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

We had roughly the same discussion on Swedish Wikipedia, and I think that the result was that since the wax figures are on display in a fairly public place, pictures of them cannot be prohibited. Hi Hannibal,

This image was included in the article of Thunderball in spanish wikipedia. But, as you licenced it in the public domain we have to explain why is it a PD image, as the original author died in 1964. Please tell us if you have the reason of that licencing.

Sorry, my mistake. This image is clearly not PD, since it is an artist's work. I can only explain my mistake by blaming enwiki, since their version of the same image is placed under pd by some sort of fair use. I uploaded it in sept 2005, and back then I wasn´t so careful with clear (i.e. copyright free) images. It should probably be deleted. Tack. Jag funderade på att göra så som du gjorde också, men hade redan fixat med pressmeddelandet och orkade inte ändra. Så länge det inte blir länkröta är det okej, men jag funderar på att lägga någon demonstrationsbild på Category:Regionarkivet. Och bild 28 är Gegerfelt som inte är i lika hög upplösning, men ändå skänkt av Regionarkivet. Den är dessutom inscannad och tillfixad enkom för det här.
