Hello, Arn!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

File:Feijoa sellowiana revue horticole.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Licences libres[edit]

Bonjour,

-- Habertix (talk) 01:04, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Bonjour user:Habertix.
-- Habertix (talk) 20:12, 25 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]
Arn (talk) 11:21, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For File:Hibou japonais.jpg this photo come from a photo with many reponsible of "Fédération Française des Eclaireuses" and my mother "Pouliche" was also on this photo. This photo was published in a paper name DT (Debrouillum tibi ;https://fr.scoutwiki.org/Debrouillum_Tibi) created by my mother Marise Arnaud (see: https://fr.scoutwiki.org/Marise_Arnaud) Arn (talk) 22:15, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I was born into a family where everyone was a scout. My father and my mother were senior officials of scouting in France. We have all been totemized with animal names. My parents' friends were scouts and totemized. When one is a scout have made the promise to always tell the truth, not to lie. I am 74 years old. These photos are archives of my family and our friends who are all dead now. If I don't put them on WP, no one will do it for me. I therefore consider myself qualified to do so. I can if necessary provide more complete explanations if you tell me what you expect. Thank you for your understanding.

File:Ferocactus glaucescens3.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not.

Thank you!
