Medaglie[edit]

Ciao. Molto probabilmente no, almeno non quelle fotografie. E' possibile che la medaglia, essendo del 1906 (mi pare di capire), sia nel pubblico dominio in quando lo scultore/artista sia deceduto da più di 70 anni, ma occorre capire qual è lo status del copyright della riproduzione fotografica (che non può ricadere nel cosiddetto {{PD-art}} in quanto una medaglia, come una moneta, è considerata un oggetto tridimensionale). Quelle fotografie sembrano scattate appositamente per la vendita/scambio delle monete/medaglie, quindi potrebbe trattarsi di fotografie recenti è quindi copyrighted.--Trixt (talk) 22:43, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Purtroppo Attilio Pratella è morto solo nel 1949, dunque non sono passati 70 anni dalla sua morte. Mi spiace, va cancellata.

Infatti se riguardi il mio messaggio io non stavo parlando dei diritti di riproduzione relativamente alla Fondazione Cariplo (anche perché difficilmente noi avremmo le foto se non ce le avesse gentilmente donate essa stessa...) bensì quelli di Attilio Pratella.
Occorre sapere, e se lo si sa specificarlo nella scheda del quadro, se la Fondazione Cariplo ha acquistato la proprietà intellettuale dagli eredi di Pratella o da Pratella stesso, oppure se ha acquistato la sola opera d'arte.
Il possessore di un quadro infatti non possiede per solo questo fatto anche la proprietà intellettuale dell'opera, salvo pattuizioni in tal senso con l'autore (che ha la facoltà di cedere o donare tali diritti). Addirittura ci sono casi di autori che per via legale hanno ottenuto di poter obbligare i possessori a far riprodurre opere da loro vendute in cataloghi della loro produzione, proprio perché la proprietà intellettuale resta comunque all'autore.
I diritti di riproduzione (che sono cosa ancora diversa dalla proprietà intellettuale, riguardando lo sfruttamento dei diritti che discendono dalla proprietà intellettuale) possono certamente essere ceduti a persona o istituzione diversa (per esempio, ad una casa editrice, con un contratto in esclusiva ventennale) da quella che materialmente possiede il quadro.
Riassumendo, di un'opera ci sono tre tipi di possesso:
  • L'oggetto materiale;
  • La proprietà intellettuale, che è sempre di chi l'ha creata, per tutta la vita, e dei suoi eredi per 70 anni dopo la sua morte. I detentori di tale diritto possono autorizzare o negare il diritto di riproduzione di un'opera a chi l'ha materialmente comprata. Credo (dovrei verificare!9 che i musei siano tutelati contro questo rischio, ma una Fondazione non è un museo;
  • I diritti di riproduzione, che possono anche essere ceduti in modo esclusivo e perpetuo dall'autore, ma su una base caso per caso.
Il ticket della fondazione Cariplo, da te correttamente indicato, indica il permesso del possessore dell'oggetto, e presumibilmente anche quello dell'autore dell'immagine fotografica, manca però all'appello quello del detentore della proprietà intellettuale, QUALORA il quadro non sia nel pubblico dominio (infatti sui quadri di autori morti da più di 70 anni non ti ho detto nulla. Ed ho lasciato correre su Dall'Oca Bianca, che "sfora" solo di tre mesi: è molto improbabile avere rogne da qui al 2012...)
Per questi motivi (e la domanda va ovviamente al di là del solo quadro, ma riguarda l'intero caricamento di dati della Fondazione Cariplo che stai facendo) ti chiedo se la Fondazione Cariplo abbia acquisito tali diritti o meno, e se sì ti chiedo allora di specificarlo, cortesemente, in modo che in futuro non ci siano nuovamente da parte di altri contestazioni come la mia, che in assenza di un "ticket" sono automatici per le opere i cui autori non siano morti da almeno 70 anni. C'è un qualche modo per leggerlo? Purtroppo non è chiaro. Perché la frase si può riferire anche solo alle fotografie digitali che tisono state fornite. Quel disclmaimer cicopre nel caso il fotografo che ha realizzato quelle immagini si facesse avanti con qualche pretesa: in quel caso se la deve vedere con la Fondazione Cariplo, che ci ha detto una cosa non vera. Ma la dichiarazione non specifica nulla rispetto alla proprietà intellettuale. Inoltre, esiste il problema dei diritti "morali" degli eredi (lo so, lo so, è assurdo: non a caso nel 2007 avevamo fatto una petizione per cambiare la legge italiana... ovviamente il Berlusca si è affrettato ad accontentarci... specie come proprietario dell'Electa!).

Re: Categoria COSV[edit]

No, non è necessaria nessuna approvazione. Probabilmente si tratta di un problema di cache: per ridurre il carico sui server web, le connessioni passano attraverso dei cache server, quindi, a seconda dei ritmi di aggiornamento, può volerci un po' perché le modifiche siano visibili. Gli utenti registrati e gli anonimi da questo punto di vista sono trattati diversamente (si assume che sia più importante per gli utenti registrati vedere la pagina nella versione corrente, perché sono quelli che più probabilmente ci lavoreranno sopra). In generale, per forzare l'aggiornamento della cache di una pagina puoi richiamarla con un action=purge; ad esempio, per questa pagina si userebbe:

http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:M.casanova&action=purge

Non so però nel caso delle categorie se il purge sia solo del testo della pagina della categoria oppure anche dei contenuti.

La modifica che hai fatto al template e' sicuramente piu' aderente alla realta' ma crea dei problemi, perché qualche utente di Commons potrebbe contestare l'assenza di una fonte certa (anche presumendo la buona fede occorre dimostrare in qualche modo che quelli sono effettivamente creazioni dell'archivio). Per ora io lo lascio com'e', ma occhio perché in futuro potresti vedere il tuo lavoro cancellato (te lo dico già' fin da adesso onde evitarti spiacevoli sorprese). Mi chiedevo se la denominazione delle cateogrie che hai utilizzato sia corretta: io non ho mai trovato delle categorie "a sottopagina" come questa Category:Archivio_Pietro_Pensa/Esino/Atti_della_comunità, e magari possiamo chiedere aiuto a Trixt come sviluppare dei nomi di categoria più corretti, con una struttura diversa... --Aubrey (talk) 13:39, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gallerie di Piazza Italia[edit]

Tutti gli altri Musei di Milano hanno la specificazione della città, quindi il "senso" è la coerenza interna della categoria. Che ha un suo perché.

Inoltre questa è Wikicommons, non Wikipedia in italiano. Le regole che si è data Wikipedia in italiano "hanno senso" in quel contesto, mentre qui possono "avere senso" altre categorie. Ci sono decine di versioni di Wikipedia, non si è mai riusciti a dare una grammatica comune a tutte, quindi per evitare il caos si è deciso da parecchio tempo di perseguire qui più la coerenza interna della categorizzazione che la corrispondenza col metodo di categorizzazione delle singole Wikipedie. Per esempio, Wikipedia Italia usa la formula Museo (Città), quella inglese usa Museo, Città. Altri possono usare Museo - Città. La categorizzaizione dei musei italiani usa Museo (Città), proprio perché in origine derivava da quella italiana, e se qualcuno crea un Museo, Città, lo correggo, per una banale questione di coerenza interna. L'inglese usa le maiuscole nei titoli, WikiCommons no. E così via. Come vedi, contrariamente a quanto mi scrivi, un senso c'è. IL fatto che non ti fosse lampante non implica che la richiesta nascesse dal desiderio di farti un dispetto.

Persone che come te si dedicano fittamente a completare il lavoro relativo ad una istituzione sono preziosissime, ma non va perso di vista anche il lavoro di cercare di tenere assieme la categorizzazione generale. Mi permetto infine di farti notare che il cambio non danneggia minimamente il tuo lavoro, mentre viceversa è utile perché permette a chiunque di capire a colpo d'occhio di quale galleria si stia parlando, specie in considerazione del fatto che quella di cui stiamo parlando è una galleria recentissima e che ancora non molti conoscono.

Approfitto dell'occasione per chiederti una maggiore attenzione alla questione dei diritti di riproduzione di opere di artisti non morti da 70 anni, che stai inserendo. Non intendo scatenare una guerra mondiale, ma sappi che o prima o poi andrà affrontata, come è successo più e più volte in passato, quindi se trovassimo subito una soluzione risparmieremmo lavoro (e arrabbiature) poi. In tutti i casi precedenti le opere di questo tipo sono sempre state rimosse.

I don't see any such licensing information on Flickr. All they say is "Feel free to share it within the spirit of the Commons" and "no known copyright". Sovracategorizzazioni in Category:Archivio Pietro Pensa[edit]

Ciao M.casanova. Grazie per tutte le immagini che carichi, che vedo sono sempre di grande interesse e alta qualità. Vorrei solo farti notare un piccolo "difetto" nelle categorizzazioni che assegni: le sovracategorizzazioni. Il sistema di categorizzazione in Commons non è globale ma gerarchico, cioè "ad albero". Le categorie non sono un gruppo di titoli, ma sono un sistema molto articolato in cui tutte sono concatenate fra di loro in sovra-categorie sempre più generiche e in sotto-categorie sempre più specifiche. Quello che tu devi assegnare ad un file è solo la categoria più specifica e non anche quelle più generiche superiori. Per fare un esempio, se hai un quadro che sta nella chiesa di San Tizio, che si trova a Pincopallo, che è una frazione del comune di Milano, che è un comune della provincia di Milano, la quale si trova nella regione Lombardia, che sta in Italia, che a sua volta è una nazione che fa parte dell'Europa, allora tu non devi mettere tutte queste categorie ma unicamente quella della Chiesa di San Tizio. Quello che devi controllare è che la categoria della Chiesa di San Tizio sia una sottocategoria della frazione di Pincopallo, e che questa frazione sia una sottocategoria del comune di Milano (di cui fa parte), e così via a ritroso; cioè devi controllare che la catena sia completa e funzioni. Questo esempio vale anche per altre categorie, che siano artistiche, cronologiche, o quant'altro. Pertanto se tu hai un file che ritrae un documento che è categorizzato in "Lists and censuses of Esino from Archivio Pietro Pensa", che è una sottocategoria di "Documents about Esino from Archivio Pietro Pensa", che è una sottocategoria di Category:Archivio Pietro Pensa, allora quel file non lo devi categorizzare in tutte queste categorie, ma solo in quella più specifica dei "List and census...", altrimenti tu appesantisci solo inutilmente il sistema con doppioni che sono già categorizzati correttamente in una loro categoria specifica dove essi verranno cercati e trovati. Proprio la categoria madre "Archivio Pietro Pensa" che hai realizzato contiene attualmente più di 1800 files, una marea di cui non si ha nessuna supervisione, mentre essi sono già sottocategorizzati e sistemati in modo corretto altrove. Per farti capire: chi cerca una chiesa di un certo comune, la cercherà in quel comune, e non sotto una provincia, o sotto la regione, o ancora sotto Italia, benchè essa faccia parte di tutte queste realtà geografiche. Se tu dai una categoria ad una foto (o ad una categoria), questo non è senza conseguenze: vuol dire che quella immagine (o quella categoria) figurerà in quella categoria che tu hai assegnato. Realizzare categorie ha un senso perchè smista in gruppi le immagini che riguardano lo stesso soggetto od oggetto. Serve (quando ci sono molte foto) a rendere più facile l'individuazione di quello che interessa e di quello che si cerca, e nel contempo offrire una supervisione degli altri soggetti o oggetti paralleli. Ma se ogni file che carichiamo lo mettiamo in tutte le categorie, il sistema va in tilt, non funzionerà e non servirà più perchè sarà così ingolfato che non si avrà più alcuna supervisione dei contenuti. E' una inutile sovracategorizzazione. Questa è la ragione per cui le sovra-categorizzazioni debbono essere (e vengono regolarmente) smantellate, perchè appesantiscono soltanto inutilmente il sistema con inutili duplicati che non verranno cercati lì ma altrove. Allora riguardo all'Archivio Pensa, ti sarei molto grato se tu potessi ripulire prima di tutto la categoria madre e poi anche tutte le altre categorie figlie dalle sovracategorizzazioni che hai dato loro. Se non lo fai tu, lo farò certamente io, ma preferirei che lo facessi tu visto che quei files li hai caricati e categorizzati, quindi li conosci molto meglio di me; se lo faccio io, temo che poi per qualche file potrei anche cancellare eventualmente qualcosa di troppo; e questo non lo vorrei. Picture of the Year voting round 1 open[edit]

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:

  1. Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
  2. This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
  3. Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.

Due appunti: per prima cosa sarebbe opportuno usare la grafica unificata per questo genere di mappe (si veda ad esempio questo file e soprattutto le "design recommendations".
In secondo luogo i confini italiani sono errati: il confine occidentale è quello post-1947 (mancano il Moncenisio, la Valle Stretta sopra Bardonecchia e il territorio di Briga e Tenda), mentre il confine orientale comprende la conca di Tarvisio (italiana solo dal 1918) e verso il mare sembra un po' impreciso.
Ti segnalo comunque che sto disegnando una mappa dell'Italia suddivisa in province e circondari alla data del 1900, quindi se hai pazienza la tua richiesta sarà soddisfatta.--Arbalete (talk) 16:52, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Strumento immagini[edit]

Ho visto la tua richiesta al bar di wiki (la vecchi discussione del 2015 sul tool di AlessioMela, WikiNeedsPictures). Spero di sentire Alessio il 5 agosto, credo (pensando positivo) che sia un effetto di ultimi update. Sta lavorando molto sulle innovazioni del tool ed era ora che le inserisse. Se mi permetti, ti contatto su wikidata e ti do altri strumenti non proprio equivalenti ma altrettanto utili. Lo sto facendo con decine di utenti per informarli dove andar nelle loro zone e non solo in vacanza a scattare foto, prima o poi l'avrei fatto anche con te. Richieste tematiche senza coordinate sono difficili da "beccare". Se sai da internet dove sono alcune placche (lo vedi da altre foto) allora puoi inserire le coordinate su un "documento" (poi vediamo il formato) e poi nella versione finale del tool le carichiamo sulla mappa dell'italia, ma la vedo molto dispersiva. In alternativa se mi dai un elenco specifico di foto mancanti in un qualche forma posso segnalarlo a tutte le utenze che conosco a vocazione locale. Per zone come Spoleto, Siena o la Marsica consideralo abbordabile... per altro non so. Si potrebbe chiedere ai mappatori di Open Street Map un aiuto. Se ogni unità avesse un item su wikidata si potrebbero monitorar quelle senza immagine su wikidata, ma dubito che si arrivi a tali livello di dettaglio. Non c'è un modello unico ma se ci penso forse qualcosa riusciamo a trovare. Diciamo che posso aiutarti su un parte di esse, per il resto ci vorrebbe un progetto dedicato.

Dunque ti ho lasciato una spigazione su wikidata, ci ritorneremo perché è molto densa. Ho iniziato a lasciare in giro dei messaggi a chi conosco. Per evitare di farti arrivare troppi ping li diluirò nelle prossimi settimane ma conosco abbastanza utenti motivati da aiutarti a colmare alcune lacune, almeno una dozzina di aree. Purtroppo è tutto molto "artigianale" ancora. sono i puntini verdi su questa cartina, qualcuno risponderà all'appello. Map of municipalities of Marche[edit]

Ciao, ti scrivo in merito a questa tua splendida immagine della regione Marche. Recentemente mi sono occupato delle mappe delle province che hanno subìto una o più fusioni e che necessitavano di un aggiornamento. Sono qui a scriverti perché leggo nella didascalia dell'immagine che sono state incluse le variazioni previste al primo gennaio 2017, ma questo non mi risulta affatto, poiché nella provincia di Pesaro-Urbino trovo ancora i confini degli ex-comuni di: Barchi, Orciano di Pesaro, Piagge, San Giorgio di Pesaro (fusi nel comune di Terre Roveresche dal primo gennaio 2017) e degli ex-comuni di: Montemaggiore al Metauro, Saltara, Serrungarina (fusi nel comune di Colli al Metauro dal primo gennaio 2017). Nella provincia di Macerata trovo ancora i confini degli ex-comuni di: Acquacanina, Fiastra (il primo è stato incorporato nel secondo dal primo gennaio 2017) e degli ex-comuni di: Fiordimonte, Pievebovigliana (fusi nel comune di Valfornace dal primo gennaio 2017).

Sto usando le immagini da te caricate provenienti dal libro in oggetto nella trascrizione su wikisource. Il personaggio del file File:Luigi Barbiano di Belgioioso.jpg non corrisponde a quello della pagina, ma non sono riuscito a trovare a chi altro potesse essere associato. Ci sono diverse versioni di questo libro ed è possibile che l'immagine sia stata sostituita nell'edizione che tu hai usato come fonte. @Carlomorino: In questa edizione dopo pag. 904 si trova il ritratto di Castellone Acquaviva d'Aragona. In fondo al volume terzo (quello nel link) c'è l'elenco delle biografie (l'asterisco indica l'assenza di immagine) e delle immagini senza biografia. Important message for file movers[edit]

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

  • To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
