Ciao Lorenzo, finalmente qualcun altro che carica immagini relative a Milano! Se anche a te interessa questa città, ti invito a dare un'occhiata al materiale già presente qui: Milano oppure qui Category:Milan. Per aiutarci nel nostro lavoro, ti chiedo per favore quando carichi un'immagine di ricordarti di metterci le categorie, altrimenti diventa impossibile ritrovarla. Se non sai che categoria metterci, mettici genericamente Category:Milan, poi ci penserò io a smistarla.

Ciao Lorenzo, non aggiungere opere di artisti (scultori, architetti) che non siano morti da almeno 70 anni, come quella, qui sopra, di Leone Lodi. La legge italiano sul diritto di autore non lo consente e su commons sono molto scrupolosi. Alcune piccole richieste[edit]

Caro Lorenzo, ho sistemato il tuo ultimo carico di immgini. Alcune richieste: 1) Potresti dare un breve titolo alle tue foto? Il titolo serve all'indice per cercare le immagini col motore di ricerca.

2) Potresti scrivere una brevissima spiegazione di cosa rappresenti ogni foto? (esempio: "Guglie del Duomo di Milano"). Tu lo sai cosa rappresentino, ma gli utenti, che magari si collegano dall'altra parte del globo, no. E senza la spiegazione, le foto sono totalmente inutili.

3) Sei certo che al centro della vetrata del Duomo stia il "Sol invictus"? Tutte le fonti che conosco io dicono che è la Razza, simbolo araldico di Galeazzo Visconti. (by the way, cosa cavolo è un "fil rouge"?).

4) Sono andato stamattina in Duomo ed ho controllato il battistero. Il cartello dice che viene della terme erculee, e non dal sepolcro di Massimiano. Ed avendo la forma di una vasca da bagno, mi pare una spiegazione piu' convincente. Dove hai trovato l'ipotesi alternativa che tu citi?

credo che la cosa vada per lo meno menzionata, dato che una spiegazione non esclude l'altra: una è sacra, l'altra profana.

Razza viscontea[edit]

Mhhhh. Troppa carne al fuoco per la dida di una immagine. Forse la cosa andrebbe esplicitata in una voce di Wikipedia, e dalla dida si potrebbe solo fare il link verso la pagina che esaurisce la questione. Lo spazio delle dida deve infatti essere non troppo lungo anche perché, idealmente, con gli anni tutte le dida dovrebbero essere tradotte nelle varie lingue, per consentire a tutti di usufruire delle immagini leggendo la descrizione nella propria lingua. Quindi io chiuderei qui la questione, lasciamo la dida qual è, esplicitarla diverrebbe troppo complicato. Ti chiedo solo di chiarire la questione del "fil rouge", che tu chiami così, ma che non è detto che gli utenti dell'enciclopedia sappiano cosa sia. Scriviamo per gli altri, non per noi stessi.

Relativamente a Milano, caricare immagini di monumenti già presenti non è inutile. Diversi punt di vista degli stessi monumenti non sono né "doppioni" né "superflui". Cmq, se vuoi privilegiare quanto manca, la lista è lunga, e se tu hai il permesso della Sopraintendenza, come mi scrivevi, puoi fare cose che ad altri non sono concesse. Manca quasi tutto il Museo archeologico, l'esedra di Via Morigi (a parte la tua unica foto), tutta la chiesa e il monastero già degli Olivetani (S. Vittore al Corpo), il Museo della Scienza e tutti i musei all'interno (Brera, di Milano, del Risorgimento...) meno una parte di quello del Castello (ma della pinacoteca c'è poco o nulla). I cimiteri (fare attenzione che le opere non siano sotto diritti) in primis il Monumentale. San Barnaba, San Celso (dentro) e Santa Maria dei Miracoli (dentro), la Madonna del Carmine (dentro) a parte poche cappelle, l'abbazia di Chiaravalle, la cripta di S. Giovanni in Conca, Santa Maria della Sanità (dentro), Santa Maria Incoronata, Santa Maria Podone (dentro), San Maurizio (tutti gli affreschi mancano), San Vito in Pasquirolo, S. Pietro in Gessate. Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
