https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Kraton_Kasunanan.jpg - the title of the image assumes sk - because sunan is the name - but the category assumes yk - which is sultan... is there any objection to changing to sk kraton as category? (sk surakarta, yk yogyakarta) - cheers JarrahTree (talk) 11:15, 20 April 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Agree, looking at the coat or arms, should be Yogyakarta, not Surakarta. should be renamed to "Kraton Kasultanan Pagelaran.jpg", adding "Pagelaran", because it's actually the "open court", not the palace "kraton" itself.. Bennylin (yes?) 11:37, 20 April 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Seems like that pic from 2003 was pre-restoration (cf. File:Kraton_Yogyakarta_Pagelaran.jpg in 2008 with a text addition underneath: "Pagelaran".) Bennylin (yes?) 11:40, 20 April 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

We need your feedback![edit]

Hello. Apologies if this message is not in your native language: please feel free to respond in the language of your choice. Thank you!

I am writing to you because we are looking for feedback for a new Wikimedia Foundation project, Structured Data Across Wikimedia (SDAW). SDAW is a grant-funded programme that will explore ways to structure content on wikitext pages in a way that will be machine-recognizable and -relatable, in order to make reading, editing, and searching easier and more accessible across projects and on the Internet. We are now focusing on designing and building image suggestion features for experienced users.

We have some questions to ask you about your experience with uploading images here on Wikimedia Commons and then adding them to Wikipedia. You can answer these questions on a specific feedback page on Mediawiki, where we will gather feedback. As I said, these questions are in English, but your answers do not need to be in English! You can also answer in your own language, if you feel more comfortable.

Once the collecting of feedback will be over, we will sum it up and share with you a summary, along with updated mocks that will incorporate your inputs.

Also, if you want to keep in touch with us or you want to know more about the project, you can subscribe to our newsletter.

Hope to hear from you soon! -- Sannita (WMF) (talk to me!) 09:56, 2 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Pasarean Cemetery[edit]

sure that it should be renamed - but which? https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Pasarean_Cemetery as a category it seems wrong - not sure which of the variant names that are found - which would seem the most appropriate... your feedack (or corrections of the words used as 'alternative names' seem wrong or whatever - it seems important for the wikidata item to have the 'range' - but sure the title of the category could be more specific - trust you are well, safe and not affected by the plague. JarrahTree (talk) 07:49, 16 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Judging from the article name (no reference), I'd suggest "Mataram graveyard", or (from the file File:Kota Gede Jogjakarta.jpg description) "Mataram royal graveyard". Your suggestion "Kota Gede cemetery" might be a correct geographically, although I have nobody to confirm this name is being used there. I suspect there's no visible plaque in that place, and, though a royal graveyard in nature, is quite simple, not as grand as Soeharto's cemetery complex. Bennylin (yes?) 08:09, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Fellow Javanese/Yogyakarta Wikimedians said it should be "Category:Cemetery of Mataram kings in Kota Gede". Or "Royal Mataram cemetery of Kota Gede" ("Makam Raja-Raja Mataram") Bennylin (yes?) 09:09, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thank you very much for your response and considerations
Makam Raja-Raja Mataram - is good for the indonesian language version - I am sure I can remember seeing on a sign somewhere near the location in the 1980s or the 1990s - perhaps both.
The usage of word 'kings' is a real problem.Royal Mataram cemetery of Kota Gede seems good - what do you think? JarrahTree (talk) 10:10, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sounds good to me. Yes, my friend supplemented the information with the plaque of the place "Makam ...", so that's the official Indonesian name of that place. I guess "pasarean" is the unofficial Javanese name for it. Bennylin (yes?) 10:14, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

pdf rendering[edit]

Hello! I noticed that some time ago you tested a pdf-file at File:Test.pdf and succeeded in making the rendering work. Could you share the secret? What do you change in the pdf, and how? Thank you in advance! Terima Kasih! --Alexander 12:00, 29 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

error in Javanese file[edit]

Hi. For your file:Javanese tirta tumetes.svg, instead of A9DE ꧞ JAVANESE PADA TIRTA TUMETES, you used A9DF ꧟ JAVANESE PADA ISEN-ISEN. Could you correct, please? Thanks! Kwamikagami (talk) 03:40, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I will. Thanks for the info! Bennylin (yes?) 04:01, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I corrected the character, but it isn't the same font. (I used Noto Sans Javanese. I have a better Javanese font somewhere, but I assume you'll want to use Tuladha Jejeg.) Kwamikagami (talk) 05:44, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
you can install it from here: https://sites.google.com/site/jawaunicode/TuladhaJejegGr_2.01.zip Bennylin (yes?) 09:59, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
