Map change
There is one mistake in this map. Region of Medjimurje was not in croatia in that time. You can see some sources about that: [1] , [2], [3]. You should correct your map in the same way as I corrected file that you used as source: [4]. 123iti (talk) 05:17, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

File:KarlBureschf1.highres.jpeg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

There is much wrong with your uploads to Robert Sennecke now. Most photos are not created by him but distributed by his company. Another big problem is that the date is often wrong. That french agency is also an redistributor only, for example File:EduardBernstein1932.jpeg was published in 1932 (at Bernsteins death most likely), but not taken in 1932. It circulated in 1929 already. --Martin H. (talk) 23:39, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- in short: I just looked again. Category:Photographs by Robert Sennecke is 90% wrong in author and date. Certainly Sennecke not made a photo of Chiang Kai-shek in 1933, thats plain nonsense. I dont know where to start with this uploads, its horrible. --Martin H. (talk) 23:44, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:PactoDeNoAgresiónSoviéticoPolaco23121932.jpeg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Kingdom of Prilep
Hi, I just uploaded new improved version of this file: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Kingdom_of_Prilep.png
Perhaps you can upload improved version of your derivative file as well: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ReinoDePrilepSigloXIV.svg
That file is derivative version of older version of this map that was created by me: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Central_balkans_1373_1395.png However, the old version was not of very good quality and I think that derivative versions of this file should match the current quality of original image. PANONIAN (talk) 13:39, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- OK, good job. I can easily translate map into Spanish, but I am not good with SVG maps drawing. PANONIAN (talk) 21:40, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
Hi again. Well, I have Inkscape installed, but I do not find it easy to use. I guess if someone uses Photoshop for so long like me, it is hard to work with Inkscape because controls there are not even similar to those in Photoshop. Anyway, I just uploaded an improved version of this map as well: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Serbia1817.png Perhaps you can upload improved svg version too: http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Serbia1817.svg&page=1 PANONIAN (talk) 22:32, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

new message for you
at the graphics lab Penyulap ☏ 15:41, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
can go in the space here, they are text and easy
to change just need the setup for the first map,
and then it's easy for every language to be done
with just the wikipedia edit window alone.
oh and you can add links too,
click here to view the code
local language goes here
this is the kind of thing that I mean, if we ask for help at the help desk or someone who knows lots about overlay, it's possible to finish the setting up of this one image, then to change the text you just edit and search and replace the code here on the actual page, not in the image which stays the same. So the one image is good on all wikipedias and the text is just search and replace. Plus, it's easy to add little animations over the top of it, flames, tanks, galloping horses, whatever, they can be added later or those factory symbols could be changed if you like, that kind of thing.
the alternative, adding text to every version of the svg would make it harsh to let people edit the text in their local language or fix incorrect wording. Penyulap ☏ 13:16, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- I'd like to help on this one, would you like to ask about on the helpdesk for help translating the labels if I do the placement on the map ? Penyulap ☏ 06:59, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

I have fixed this image as requested in the English Graphics Workshop Here. Please advise if this is what you wanted. Centpacrr (talk) 00:23, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, Centpacrr, I have added my point of view in the request site. Many thanks for your version!--Rowanwindwhistler (talk) 16:05, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- I have "recut" the image and done a little bit (but not too much) to fix the perspective without (I hope) diminishing how the detail looks at 100%. If you like any of the earlier versions better, however, feel free to revert to them. Centpacrr (talk) 01:31, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- I have set the link back to the one but last version as the last one was a bit too burnt from my point of view and this one looks better (just my personal opinion of course). Thanks again.--Rowanwindwhistler (talk) 19:57, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
