Hello. This vector version you’ve uploaded contains some improper curves on the inner side of the tips. I can see that when zooming in using Inkscape, and the source code seems to contain too much numbers for such a simple image. --AVRS (talk) 09:25, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

plans of Topkapi Palace
[edit]hi there Gothika, I have to ask you for a favour: could you add the northern direction into the map Image:Plan Third Court Topkapi Palace..svg and Image:Plan Harem Topkapi Palace Istanbul.JPG? The direction can be found on this map here [1] on the left side. Of course it would be great if you could create a complete map from the image, however I am not sure what the copyright status would be in such a case... also please try to convert Image:Plan Harem Topkapi Palace Istanbul.JPG into an .svg, thank you. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Image Tagging Image:Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano5.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano5.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Original upload log
[edit]Hi! Please don't remove the original upload log. If the CommonsHelper does not create it in a readable way, then please repair it. Whenever you transfer an image, please add this log (also when doing it without bot) and the exact location of the image at the other project (even if it is deleted there). If there are problems later it is easier to follow the way of the image to Commons. And in case of some licences this log is also a necessary requirement (e.g. GFDL). -- Cecil (talk) 10:42, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi Gothica, this plan (I like it) is 180° twisted towards the rough plan of Palace and Gardens above (in deWP). Would it take considerable effort to "turn" it? - Ooops: When using #_2 for de:Schloss_Schönbrunn, I see just now that your "North" symbol is wrong. Compare to Google, for instance, or better go to http://www.wien.gv.at/stadtplan/spread.asp?lang=de - search for "Schloß Schönbrunn" and zoom in. Both displays are "North-up". In case it would help, you might contact me by mail, so that I could send you screenshots of that official plan: "Schönbrunn Management" is unfortunately, at least, "poorly accurate" about the facts they provide. Please inform Gryffindor on this, if appropriate. -- I'm in a hurry. Best, Wolfgang --WeHaWoe (talk) 15:36, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Numele imagini
Toate cele bune.--Gothika (talk) 13:54, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

PNG
[edit]hi Gothika,
thanks for removing the frame from so many images. Can I ask you why you create .png images of the same .jpg after it has been cleaned up? It suffices for the .jpg to be cleaned, you don't need to do the extra work of creating a .png file of the same image. Thanks alot. sincerely Gryffindor (talk) 16:26, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Gryff! When I remove a frame, or background from a non-squarish jpg image the background will be white (like a new border). But if I save the image in png format, the background will be transparent. So yesterday I was thinking to leave the original images untouched (only the non-squarish images) and upload a other one, in png format, with the necessary modifications. --Gothika (talk) 09:13, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ah ok I understand now. Yeah it's ok, the background can remain white in that case, you don't have to do the extra work and make it transparent. thanks for your help. Gryffindor (talk) 13:24, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- OK. My pleasure :)--Gothika (talk) 13:27, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Hello Gothika!
Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.
To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.
You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.
The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!

- Hello Javier,
- I would like to ask you to stay calm I think there is a small misunderstanding here, the automatic copyvio script always warns the last uploader of the image, in this case you.
# 23:11, 8 October 2008 . . JavierMC (Talk | contribs | block) 300×300 (98,273 bytes) (remove border and adjust image levels for clarity) # 16:47, 1 October 2008 . . - So that is why you recieved the copyvio note, I dont think anybody would mind when you remove the template off from your talk page, and I'm sure Gothika didn't mean to make you look bad. The problem with Commons is that Commons is a very big project where a lot of things happen with automatic scrips or with bot, and when there is no human interferiance errors wil happen, there is no need to fight about that, we all busy with them same goal, making Commons the best project we have. Hi. I am afraid I cannot see how this file is better than the original. I am very much in favour of the use of SVG, but there are many instances when it not appropriate. In this case the conversion to SVG has resulted in the loss of a great deal of information and produced a file that is more that three times the size. Perhaps I am not understanding something?
A bukovinai székelyeknek 1944 őszén a hadi események miatt ismét menekülniük kellett. 1944–45-ben Vas, Veszprém, Zala és Fejér megyék falvaiban húzódtak meg. Végül 1946–47-ben Tolna, Baranya és Bács megye kiürített német falvaiban mintegy tizenháromezren kaptak házat és földet." forrás. --Gothika (talk) 20:05, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
File tagging File:Raphael_Viola.jpeg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Raphael_Viola.jpeg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Raphael_Viola.jpeg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Hello Gothika,
I would like to use your illustration of Plato's Divided Line (2008. augusztus 4., 13:18)in the English Wiki. Would you be kind enough to post an English version or to let me make a copy? Thank you!
Szeretném használni Platón Vonalhasonlatot (2008. Augusztus 4., 13:18) az angol Wikin. Lenne oly kedves hogy keszitsen egy angol verziót, vagy megengedne másolatot készíteni? Köszönöm! BlueMist BlueMist (talk) 22:20, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Copyright status: File:Murad I Manyal Palace Museum.JPG
[edit]This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Murad I Manyal Palace Museum.JPG. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |
